Founded in 2018, Queer + Sober was born out of necessity in an East Atlanta Village coffee shop. We offer an inclusive space for the sober-curious and those in recovery alike who seek accountability and meaningful connections without alcohol.
Our goal is to remain a not-for-profit grassroots collective of comrades who partner with other sober queers in the bible belt. If your business or brand would like to donate venue space or product, your generosity allows us to continue our programming beyond coffee shop meetups.

zero proof events
Today we partner with local businesses, brands, and venues to bring the community complimentary events. Our sold out Valentine Vision Board Party featured a night of collages, mocktails, vegan food, tarot, tattoos, and vendors.

GUIDED BY THE STARS
In 2023, Queer + Sober began planning events around the full moon, and we look forward to continuing that tradition with more astro-programming in 2025.

Community
Since 2018, our monthly meetups at Joe’s Coffee gave way to tea parties, vegan picnics & potlucks, a road trip to an animal sanctuary, and the city’s first sober pop-up bar.

Sober Pop-up Bar
In March 2020, Queer + Sober hosted a sober bar at The Bakery for comfort zone, a night of art and music. The ecstatic response proved that intentional, sober gathering spaces will be in our future.

Anyone with a desire to socialize without alcohol is invited to join us!
